“Sarah was able to uncover just what I needed, and when I needed it. She wasn't afraid to kick me in the pants, because I'll admit to needing some courage — and encouragement, too. Who doesn't, when the problems seem large and the way forward is unclear? Sarah helped me align my priorities with my values, and then my actions with my priorities. And she balanced that judo-like precision with a kind heart and compassion for me and what I was going through.
Many of the advances I was able to make over the years are a direct result of the mind-shifts Sarah helped me with. She helped me clarify my strategies, and then gave me enough tactical guidance to keep me from putting the whole operation in the ditch.”

The Benefits of Employee Ownership
These New York City agencies both completed their transitions to employee ownership in 2021. Since then, the shift has benefited each business in so many ways, from motivating employees to persevering a business legacy.
In this EO Equals webinar, hear directly from Sarah and Michael about their decision to transition, what the process looked like, and the benefits they’ve seen so far.
Is this thing on?? Getting your a/v right on Zoom and beyond
You’ve probably been meeting, presenting, and hanging out on video conferencing platforms like Zoom, Teams, and FaceTime just about every day for the past couple of years. Professional-quality video conferencing is now ubiquitous, but many of us are still using crummy earbuds, built-in cameras and mics, and other tools that treat sound and video quality as an afterthought.
Focusing, managing overwhelm, & doing deep work
Ezra Klein’s podcast interview with journalist Johann Hari, “it’s not your fault you can’t pay attention”, surprised me. I listened to it expecting the usual (screens are bad… meditation is good... etc), and hoping to uncover new ideas I can use with my clients. So many of the people I coach are struggling to carve out and defend the time they need to do deep, focused work these days... and many also struggle, once they find themselves with that rare and precious hour of focused work time, to stay in the zone. Instead, they feel distracted, unsure if their work is any good, and struggling to get deep work done.
